Over the past few months we have been working with Wiltshire Wildlife Trust Next Door Nature Project and the Studley Green Community Association to realise the dream of a Community Garden on Studley Green.
Local residents and children helped to clear the land and install bird boxes, a hedgehog house and bird feeders.
Sue Deedigan from Wiltshire Wildlfie Trust said: "In the words of Helen Keller, ‘Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.’ We are all very proud of the result of partnership working and also to the colleagues and volunteers from Studley Green community who gave
up their time and devoted their passion to making the community garden a reality.
"We look forward to growing fruit, vegetables and flowers in the raised beds in 2025 and to observing and nurturing all the wildlife who visit our insect houses, bird boxes and hedgehog house."
We also received funding from the National Allotments Association which was used to install two sturdy picnic benches, one with wheelchair access.
Supported by Wiltshire Council Community Conversations, IDVerde the Grist Group, andSelwood Housing, we are very proud that the project has come to fruition.
